Clarence and team were out along Ladies' Mile Road on Saturday, talking to local residents and hearing their views. It was a great day out and people really appreciated, as always, Clarence's commitment to meeting local people.
"While Labour's conference was just down the road talking, we were out walking, hearing the real concerns of the people of Patcham. As Ed Miliband used his brief time in the constituency to make yet more huge, unfunded spending commitments for a national audience, we were listening to the local views of the voters of Pavilion, not least how both the Greens and Labour continue to fail them.
"High on the list of voter concerns along Ladies Mile Road and Windmill View, were their ongoing problems associated with illegal traveller encampments, the spread of the Greens' high parking charges and perceived "anti car" policies together with Labour's recent decision not to support the city's Conservative councillors in creating vital school places at King's House - despite Labour previously campaigning for greater school place provision themselves.
"The lack of proper recycling separation was also often cited. People were grateful, too, that we were making them aware of the consultation period for the development of the Ladies Mile Local Nature Reserve." - Clarence.
Take a look at our ‘Canvass Map’, which shows exactly where we’ve been and when. If you would like us to visit your road please get in touch and we will be more than happy to come and see you.
