Clarence Mitchell, the Parliamentary Candidate for Brighton Pavilion, joined local Councillors Ann and Ken Norman, and candidate Nick Taylor, for a fantastic canvassing session in Withdean on Saturday. The team visited Eldred Avenue, a road whose residents impressed with their knowledge, interest in and commitment to local issues.
“I had the pleasure of speaking at length with a large number or residents, which really gave me the chance to find out the real issues concerning local people. The majority of people are very disappointed in the effort of the Green council, who have been wasting time and taxpayers’ money on frivolous, impractical endeavours. Their war on cars, particularly the huge hike in parking costs around the city centre, has really annoyed residents. There were good discussions about alternative solutions, including the option of a park and ride service into the city centre. What was really encouraging was the eagerness of local people to get involved in solving local issues, and they will get the chance to do exactly that at the next Withdean area public meeting.” – Clarence Mitchell
Clarence, Ann, Ken and Nick will be back in Withdean next Saturday (7th) to hear more about how they can help people solve their local issues. If you would like them to come to you particularly, please get in touch with us as Clarence and the team would be more than happy to see you. Go to ‘Contact’ to find out how.
