Another great Withdean canvass with the first hint of winter in the air. Thanks to all including Nick Taylor (Withdean ward candidate), Withdean ward Councillors Ken and Ann Norman...(plus Santa!), Cllr Geoffrey Theobald (BHCC Conservative Group Leader and Patcham ward councillor), Cllr Carol Theobald (Patcham ward councillor) and Karen Miles (Patcham ward candidate) A wide range of issues were aired along Tongdean Lane and Wayland Aveune, ranging from dissatisfaction with the Greens' minority control of the city council, parking charges and congestion in the city centre to the need for better maintenance of trees and verges. Many residents were pleased to see the Conservatives out and about campaigning hard and they welcomed the chance to meet their Tory candidates long before the 2015 general election.
