A team from Brighton and Hove Conservatives, including Clarence, was up early and down on the beach between the Palace Pier and the West Pier from 08.30am on Tues May 27th to support the 2014 Argus Big Beach Clean Up. Among those BHCA members picking up the litter along with Clarence was BHCC Conservative Group Leader Cllr Geoffrey Theobald, Cllr Carol Theobald, Cllrs Ken and Ann Norman, Cllr Graham Cox and Withdean BHCC Candidate Nick Taylor. Kemptown MP Simon Kirby also took part.
Clarence said: "It's absolutely vital that we keep Brighton's world famous shop window looking its best at all times, given that it's such an integral part of the city's economy, not least for Pavilion's thriving tourism sector. The annual Argus Big Beach Clean Up is a great event, recognising that economic importance while allowing people to directly make their city a cleaner, nicer place to live. Brighton needs to live up to its great potential once again and this is a very positive way of helping it towards achieving that goal. Brighton & Hove Conservatives were proud to play our part."
